Palermo Coach Davide Ballardini admits “no-one will remember” recent good performances if they go down today.

The Rosanero face already-relegated Verona at Renzo Barbera, and will secure their Serie A safety for another season with a win.

However, if they fail to get a victory, Carpi could leapfrog them with a win away at Udinese.

However, if they fail to get a victory, Carpi could leapfrog them with a win away at Udinese.

“We’ve done a good job since I came back, but this is absolutely not about revenge,” Ballardini insisted in his pre-match Press conference, having been sacked after a win over Verona earlier this season.

“The last game gives us the opportunity to finish the season off well after all the negative things that have happened.

“The match tomorrow is crucial, and we have to do a good job. If things don’t work out, no-one will remember Palermo’s recent positive performances.

“It’s nice to have a full stadium, we have to make our fans proud.”
