Interviewed on Radio Kiss Kiss, Ballardini said: "Napoli are a mix of strength, quality, enthusiasm and intensity. I would like to compliment the team.

"Ezequiel Lavezzi is an extraordinary player who is difficult to replace, but there is also Jose Sosa and Nicolao Dumitru, who are also good footballers, and then there is that animal up front Cavani. He is formidable and always makes you play with an extra man at the back.

"I know Cavani very well. He is a wonderful player. When he attacks, he does so very well and at the same time, when you have to defend, you know that you can count on him.

"If Napoli have space, they are ruthless. It will be important to attack and to not concede space to the Azzurri.

"Since I arrived at Genoa we have tried to find balance in defence. We have quality players. When we are in possession we tried to make ourselves look dangerous, but our opponents in difficulty."
