Inter have announced that the club has tied sporting director Piero Ausilio to a new contract, which will run until June 30, 2017.
The 39-year old was responsible for the signings of Nemanja Vidic and Gary Medel this summer, as well as securing loan deals for Dani Osvaldo and Yann M’Vila.

In a statement on the club’s official website, Inter president Erik Tohir announced: “We are delighted that our sporting director has extended his contract.
“We have laid the foundations of a big project and we are working hard with a lot of energy to lay the groundwork for a successful Inter side.”
Also speaking to inter.it, Ausilio said: “I thank President Thohir for the faith he has shown in me.
“Our shared goal is to build an Inter side that can once again compete for trophies and restore the club to its rightful place in Italy and Europe.”
