Piero Ausilio continues his referee tirade – “Inter are tired of up ending up with 10-men because of a dive”.

The Nerazzurri saw Yuto Nagatomo dismissed during last night’s 2-1 defeat to Napoli, with the sporting director criticising referee Daniele Orsato after the final whistle.

“A game like Napoli-Inter, in which two teams are playing for first place in front of a huge crowd can’t be ruined by the officials,” Ausilio continued, speaking to Sky today.

“There must be a sense of total responsibility. The first ‘foul’ was a dive, and if you make a mistake the first time you have to be a bit careful, because there’s one minute until the break and it’s 1-0 for Napoli.

“If we came back out with 11 v 11 we could have seen how it ended.

“We were naive, especially on the first goal, so there are also technical things to consider. We’re not just thinking about Mr Orsato, who got it wrong which led to a very simple thing: one team with 10 and one team with 11.

“In the first half we didn’t play as we wanted, in the second half we saw a great Inter who didn’t allow Napoli very much and deserved to equalise.

“In the end it was a moral draw for me, because we hit the post twice and forced a great save from Reina.

“I counted five or six scoring chances in the second half, for me the game was a draw.

“Inter are tired of ending up with 10-men in situations where a player dives, like in Palermo, or at Bologna for a tiny foul by Felipe Melo.

“When it happens for the third consecutive away game it starts to really weigh on you.”
