Piero Ausilio says Roberto Mancini does not have a get-out clause in his Inter contract, and updates on contract talks with three players.

It has been suggested during the Coach’s first week with the Nerazzurri that there was a clause in his two-and-a-half-year contract signed on Friday allowing him to leave at the end of this season.

This was seen as based around if things had not gone as planned, if Mancini was not impressed by work in the transfer market or if the 49-year-old received a better offer elsewhere.

However, the club’s technical director has made clear after today’s shareholders’ meeting that no such clause is in place.

“There is no clause, the contract expires in 2017,” Ausilio told reporters today.

“With him we have discussed a project that changes depending on the participation or not in the Champions League.

“The Coach knows this already.

“For contract renewals, with Icardi and Kovacic we have been talking for a couple of months and everything is progressing at its best.

“They are long contract, we are taking the right time to come to a resolution that satisfies both sides. There is also talk of image rights and other things not just to do with economic terms.

“They are the present and we want them to represent the future. In time we will reach the right agreement.

“With Handanovic we have just begun, I had contact with the agent last week and we exchanged ideas. Gradually this will develop.”
