It is reported that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is heading to Barcelona for talks over Rafinha.

The Brazilian midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the San Siro since the start of the January transfer window.

And despite some complications in the deal, Gazzetta dello Sport are confident the transfer will go ahead.

The Italian daily report this morning that the Catalan giants are willing to allow the 24-year-old to leave on an initial loan deal, although they want Inter to pay a higher fee than the €23m proposed to sign the player on a permanent basis.

The Nerazzurri, for their part, want the option rather than the obligation to buy Rafinha due to his persistent injury problems.

With Ausilio due to touch down in Barcelona for negotiations, it is expected that an agreement will be reached to bring the Brazil international to Serie A.
