The flight from Warsaw was on its way to Kharkiv, but forced to make an emergency landing in Kiev because of bad weather and a lack of fuel.

There has been heavy fog in the area for many hours, so while the Atalanta team plane was able to find a window to land, the other flight had to be re-routed towards Kiev.

There were 10 journalists, 34 Atalanta fans, some members of the UEFA staff and the club sponsors Radici Group on that plane.

According to Calciomercato.com, they will now have to make their way towards Kharkiv either by train (which takes five hours) or bus (seven hours).
