Whispers yesterday suggested that Cagliari were ready to sell the stopper with Spartak Moscow apparently willing to offer €15m for him.
However, there are now stories that Astori has actually agreed to commit his future to the Sardinian outfit.
The 25-year-old, who just missed out on a place at Euro 2012, could see his 2014 contract extended until 2016. He could earn around €800,000 a season in doing so.
