The Viola were billed as potential Scudetto contenders earlier this season, but have fallen-off the Champions League pace after no wins in their last six Serie A games.
Owner Andrea Della Valle visited the club today, and the defender was asked about it as he visited the Viola’s official store.
“Andrea Della Valle brought his usual enthusiasm, as he always does when he comes to visit us,” Astori explained.

“Right now we need firm words, but also a person who understands the period we’re in. He’s not worried, and neither are we. We need an answer on the pitch on Sunday.
“To the fans I’d say to support the team, in decisive moments their support is even more important.”
The Italian international was also asked about the prospect of going to Euro 2016 this summer.
“It’s an objective I want to achieve with all my strength. I’m happy with the performances I’ve put in so far, but the next ones will be important to convince [CT Antonio] Conte.”
