This afternoon ex-Cagliari defender Astori, who completed his transfer on Thursday, flew in to Denver in order to meet his new teammates for the first time.
Gervinho also jetted in to finally start pre-season training at the Trigoria ground in Rome.
The Ivorian was delayed first by the post-World Cup vacation, then given several days off by permission of the club to deal with a family matter.
He had been expected to join the squad in America, but it’s reported his visa has expired, so he’ll train in Rome until the red tape is sorted out.
