Arsenal manager Unai Emery has set his sights on Torino defender Nicolas N’Koulou, according to reports in Italy.

The Gunners are struggling with a leaky defence in the Premier League and Calciomercato.it claim Emery specifically named N’Koulou as his ideal reinforcement.

Torino spent €4m to sign the 28-year-old Cameroon international from Olympique Lyonnais, on an initial loan with option to buy that was activated this term.

He is considered a key figure in the Granata’s push for Europa League qualification and Coach Walter Mazzarri is not eager to see N’Koulou sold mid-season.

The former Monaco and Marseille man has scored two goals in 19 Serie A games during the current campaign.
