USMNT international Folarin Balogun, linked with Inter and Milan, reveals he ‘won’t go on loan again’ in 2023-24 but is ‘not sure about what’s going to happen’ during the summer.

The 21-year-old will return to Arsenal after a one-year loan with Ligue 1 side Stade Reims, where he scored 22 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions in 2022-23.

Balogun helped USMNT win the Concacaf Nations League on Sunday, scoring one goal in a 2-0 win over Canada.

Speaking about his future after the final whistle, the Arsenal striker said (as quoted by BBC): “I’m not sure [about] the discussions that are going to take place.

“I’m not sure what’s going to happen. But I’m just committed to now; I try to stay present. I obviously want to enjoy the moment with my team and my family.

“What I can say is that I definitely won’t go on loan again.”

Both Inter and Milan have been linked with the 21-year-old, who is under contract at the Emirates Stadium until June 2025.

The Nerazzurri director Piero Ausilio reportedly asked for information about the USMNT international during his trip to London last week, when he also sat down with Chelsea directors to discuss Romelu Lukaku and Kalidou Koulibaly.

The 21-year-old is one of Milan’s targets in attack alongside Marcus Thuram, Lois Openda and Alvaro Morata. Meantime the Rossoneri have activated a buy-back clause to bring Lorenzo Colombo back to San Siro from Lecce.
