Arsenal are eyeing up Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini or Sampdoria’s Dennis Praet, both also targets for Juventus.
The Italy international turns 22 next month and came up through their youth academy, but spent 2015 to 2017 at Sassuolo.
This season, Pellegrini contributed three goals and five assists in 37 competitive games, which saw the Giallorossi finish third in Serie A and reach the Champions League semi-final.

According to Sky Sport Italia pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal and their new manager Unai Emery have set their sights on Pellegrini for next season.
He has a release clause in his contract worth €30m, but the Gunners could try to negotiate a deal instead.
The alternative to Pellegrini is also to be found in Serie A, as Arsenal and Juventus are both looking at Sampdoria’s Belgian talent Praet.
