Daniele Arrigoni explains why he decided it was right to leave Cesena and forego his wages. “I did it for the love of my hometown club.”
The Coach took over from Marco Giampaolo on November 1, but this week terminated his contract by mutual consent to be replaced by Mario Beretta.
“I did it only for affection and the love of my hometown club,” explained Arrigoni.
“I no longer felt able to give what was needed, as the team wasn’t answering to my suggestions anymore.”
In making this move rather than getting sacked, Arrigoni also decided to forego four months of wages.
“If it had been another club, I probably wouldn’t have done it.”
