Anselmo pledged to “show what I can do” after completing his transfer from Genoa to Palermo this afternoon.

The Brazilian midfielder won’t turn 24 until next month and played for Palmeiras, Gremio Barueri and Sao Caetano before coming to Genoa this summer.

He has arrived in Sicily as part of an exchange that takes Eros Pisano to Genoa.

“I am happy to have arrived at Palermo. This jersey is important to me and I want to show what I can do in Italy,” said Anselmo after his first training session.

“My characteristics are strength and I can both help out when marking or attacking. Gian Piero Gasperini seems a nice person and of my new teammates I am most impressed with Fabrizio Miccoli. I really like this team and what to prove myself.”
