Genoa’s 1-1 draw with Cagliari left them just two points ahead of the Azzurri, and a win against the Granata would see the Tuscan club jump out of the drop zone and leapfrog the Rossoblu.

“We are not relying on anyone to do us any favours,” said Andreazzoli in his Press conference.

“If we win our last two matches then we will reach safety. Up until now I hadn’t been looking at what was happening with the other clubs, but now we are focused on winning these last two games.

“We know it won’t be easy, as Torino are a good team, who are fighting it out at the top of the table, and who have an excellent record on the road.

“We play at home though and our fans will get behind us and give us a hand. They came and supported us during the week when we held an open training session and that was a great moment for me and my players, as we need the whole city behind us now.

“Mentally, we’ve always been prepared, but physically we have suffered in parts of the season. Last week’s win over Sampdoria took a lot out of us, but the players are ready to go again in this one.”
