The 22-year-old denied that he’s on the way out and looked ahead to Thursday’s Europa League second leg against Sparta Prague, which ‘we must play with intelligence.’

“There’s nothing concrete,” Anderson said to Fox Sports Brasil.

“They are rumours that circulate in the newspapers. The often write about my possible departure but I’m staying here.

“My objective is simply to do well in this shirt and get into the Brazil team. This way of training has already brought me to the Selecao for the Olympics but I must always think about improving more.

“There’s great competition for a place at the Olympics, let alone the senior team. We’re a competitive country, we have two formidable groups.

“I’m sure that the difficult period we’ve faced was due to a transition phase. There are very strong players at our disposal.

“The Europa League is very important, at Lazio we want to continue dreaming. We have a small advantage, as a 0-0 draw would see us through.

“We must play with intelligence, tackling the game like we did against Galatasaray. 1-1 is an advantage, in the previous round we showed that.”
