Lately Napoli have been dressed up in a 4-4-2 of trade, but Tuttosport claims Ancelotti is contemplating a switch back to a familiar 4-3-3 to help the Partenopei back on track.

Lorenzo Insigne has been used exclusively on the left of a 4-4-2 this season, with Dries Mertens, Arkadiusz Milik, Fernando Llorente and Hirving Lozano rotated in a front two, but it doesn’t seem to be getting the best out of the Italy international.

His form might be pivotal in a difficult period at the San Paolo and the latest results have given Ancelotti some headaches.

Allan, Fabian Ruiz and Piotr Zielinski might also be used as a trio in the middle of the park to help Napoli get back on a positive run of results and Ancelotti save his job.

He needs an immediate return to form, as reports claim he’s got two more games to keep his position at the helm.

Napoli are back in action against Milan after the international break, before they face Liverpool in a decisive match in the Champions League.
