Carlo Ancelotti’s daughter has claimed that the Coach could stay at Napoli for life. “The conditions are there.”

Ancelotti replaced Maurizio Sarri last summer, and the former Milan boss – who turns 60 in June – seems to be in perfect harmony with Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

“My dad went to Napoli because it’s a different type of challenge,” Katia told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Naples is a beautiful place, with unique enthusiasm in Italy, comparable to only a few places in the world, and they’re a club who haven’t won trophies for years.

“They’re a team who have always come close to winning but didn’t make it. Winning isn’t easy. Dad also says he was often lucky, but I think he needed this now.

“He’s a man who lives football with great passion. I remember that in his first game against Milan, he was thrilled with the win and I saw him with tears in his eyes.

“He was impressed by his team and the atmosphere of the San Paolo. It’s a stadium that we’d missed.

“In Naples, much more than in other cities, enthusiasm and passion are needed because it pushes you.

“I really think it was love at first sight, like when you fall in love with a person. In those moments you hope it lasts forever.

“Sometimes love isn’t enough. It takes so many things for it to be so, but if they aren’t lacking, the respect and will on both sides, I believe there will be a very lasting relationship.

“He and De Laurentiis love life and love winning.”

So could he stay for the remainder of his career?

“In my opinion, yes. The conditions are there.”
