Tottenham Hotspur are ready to snap up Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on loan with option to buy if Tanguy Ndombele leaves in January.

Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia are confident the terms are basically agreed between the clubs.

It would be a loan with option to buy at the end of the season for a total €16m.

The 25-year-old Morocco international impressed at Hellas Verona from 2019 and was purchased for just under €20m, but struggled to fit into coach Vincenzo Italiano’s system.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, the stage is set for Amrabat to join Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.

They are now waiting for Ndombele to find himself a new club, as while PSG were in negotiations, it’s reported Valencia have agreed a loan deal with Spurs now.

The midfielder has taken some time to consider his options, which in turn is keeping Amrabat waiting too.
