Amauri will seriously consider signing a new contract with Fiorentina once the present campaign comes to an end.

The Brazilian-born Italian international joined the Viola last month from Juventus after putting pen to paper on a short-term contract.

Amauri, 31, has yet to score in his two Serie A games for the club but he’s been praised for the impact he has made.

“The boy is very happy,” agent Giampiero Pocetta told Radio Blu on Thursday afternoon. “He’s living in a fantastic city and playing for a great team.

“He’s working hard and well in order to repay the faith of the club. In June, the Viola will have the first say in his future.”
