The Partenopei beat Crotone 1-0 at the Stadio Scida last night to win the title of Winter Champions, remaining top of the Serie A table at the halfway stage.

“The objective is without doubt the Scudetto, as we are aiming for the maximum result,” Allan told Mediaset Premium.

“We had a great second half of last season and now a great first half of this. We mustn’t stop, as we have to keep working to stay up there.”

When Sarri was interviewed by the same television station, he was asked if Allan ought to receive a call-up from Brazil.

“I think Allan deserves a Brazil call-up. I also hope they don’t call him up, as we need him,” replied the Coach.

“It’s a real problem with the South American sides, as the journeys and logistics are complicated. I’m sorry for Allan, don’t tell him I said that, but I hope Brazil don’t call him.”

When the clip was played to Allan, the 26-year-old laughed.

“I hope to go to the 2018 World Cup. Now I’ll go tell the Coach not to say such things! I hope to continue doing well with Napoli and to have an opportunity for Brazil too.

“I’m very happy at Napoli, as we’re a great group of guys and we always make fun of each other. I tend to be in the middle of it.”
