The report says he was on board the car of Vesuviani sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and was spotted by a group of expectant fans and journalists.
The central midfielder is now expected to undergo a medical today and made his first comment as a Napoli player on Twitter this morning.
“This is my first day with Napoli, I’m very happy,” he said.
