As expected, Arsenal have officially signed Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona as Juventus close on Alvaro Morata.

The Bianconeri had been heavily linked with the Chile international, but this evening Alexis completed his transfer “for an undisclosed fee.”

It is widely reported that Arsenal paid £32m for the 25-year-old Barcelona starlet.

“I’m so happy to be joining Arsenal, a club which has a great manager, a fantastic squad of players, huge support around the world and a great stadium in London,” Alexis told the official club website.

“I’m looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and to be playing for Arsenal in the Premier League and Champions League. I will give my best to Arsenal and want to make all the supporters happy.”

Meanwhile, Tuttosport claim Juventus have now agreed all terms with Real Madrid for striker Morata.

The price-tag is thought to be €18m plus add-ons and Real Madrid will have a buy-back clause worth €35m over the next two years.

Because of that clause, Morata is reportedly negotiating with the Merengues to extend his contract to 2019 beyond the current 2015 expiry.

His deal with Juventus should be a four-year contract with option for a fifth worth €2.2m per season.

Morata is expected in Turin on Monday for his medical, official presentation and first training sessions with Antonio Conte’s squad.
