During the interview, the former Chelsea man also praised Carlo Ancelotti, delivered a personal message to Rossoneri fans and targeted an immediate return to the Champions League for his new team.
“I’m very happy to be here, people have spoken very well to me about the club,” Alex said.
“I am really happy to be at an important team like Milan. My first impression is marvellous, everything is very well organised here.
“I’ve been with Adriano Galliani until now, we talked a lot and I am very excited.
“When I was at PSV, there was the opportunity for me to come to Milan with Ancelotti in the dugout. Then I met Chelsea and PSG also wanted me.
“Ancelotti is a fantastic person, he’s like a father for me. I thank him for the good words he said about me.
“We need to start the season as well as we can in order to get Milan back to where they deserve to be. That is the Champions League.
“We need to fight to win the League and get back in the Champions League. A message to the fans? Thanks to everyone, I will give my everything to fight hard to win with Milan.”
