Sarri appears set to take the reins at English Premier League club Chelsea and would want an immediate reunion with one of his key performers at Napoli.

According to the Italian daily, wages of €3m per season are already on offer to Albiol should he decide his future lies in London.

Although signing for La Liga club Villarreal would not be as financially beneficial as a move to England, it would allow Albiol to return to his home region of Spain for the first time since leaving Valencia in 2009.
