The Spanish defender moved to Napoli from Real Madrid over the summer, following his Blancos teammates Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Maria Callejon.
“I am very happy,” he told Marca. “I have been very well received by everyone at the club, especially the fans.
“We have played a few games and have done really well so far.
“But I want to take advantage of every opportunity and prove to the Coach that I am okay.”
