Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta is linked with Inter, as his agent says “I think we’ll see him in Serie A soon”.

The right-back has another year to run on his contract with City, but there is expected to be a huge overhaul of the squad when Pep Guardiola takes over this summer.

Nerazzurri Coach Roberto Mancini was previously in charge of the Citizens, and has a good relationship with the 31-year-old, so Calciomercato suggests the Spaniard could move to San Siro.

Nerazzurri Coach Roberto Mancini was previously in charge of the Citizens, and has a good relationship with the 31-year-old, so Calciomercato suggests the Spaniard could move to San Siro.

In addition to what he had already said on Monday, the player’s representative expects his client to move to Italy sooner or later.

“Guardiola would happily keep him,” Federico Pastorello told Sky.

“Pablo has spent a long time in England though, and wants to compete in a new League. I don’t know if it’ll be this summer or next, but I think we’ll see him in Serie A soon.”

Calciomercato suggests that City wouldn’t demand a huge fee if Zabaleta wishes to leave, but the Beneamata may struggle to match his salary.
