Emiliano Viviano’s agent has suggested that a move to Fiorentina this summer may be in his client’s best interests.

Viviano only moved to Palermo in January, after they spent €5m acquiring Genoa’s 50 per cent of his contract. However, currently co-owned between the Rosanero and Inter, the ‘keeper finds his future is still up for debate given the two clubs are yet to make clear his destination for 2012-13.

Asked on the issue, the player’s representative – a former Fiorentina player – has some suggestions.

“Viviano will certainly play in Serie A next year,” Renzo Contratto told Radio Toscana today.

“If Sebastien Frey doesn’t go on a diet then he could end up back at Genoa. Emiliano is valued between €8-10m.”

“Could he return to Inter? He deserves to wear the Nerazzurri’s shirt, but it will depend very much on the future of Julio Cesar. Emiliano has to play, he cannot be a back-up.

“As he is a fan of Fiorentina are they an option? I’d be happy to take him to Florence and you know how he feels from this point of view too.

“Fiorentina is a club I love, where I played for so many years and I’m also rooting that [former Inter director] Gabriele Oriali becomes Fiorentina’s new sporting director.”
