Christian Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots denies the midfielder will return to action in four or five months: ‘There is no schedule and no pressure.’
The Dane returned to Inter‘s training ground earlier this week and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, he had told his teammates he would return to action in four or five months.
However, the player’s agent has denied the report, saying there isn’t a clear program regarding the player’s return to action.
“I personally have never heard him say this. Inter were happy to see that Christian was in good shape,” Schoots told TV2Sport.
“Like everyone else in that situation, Christian just wants to be in the best possible shape as the father, husband, son, brother and friend he can be.
“There is no schedule, no pressure. Nothing.”
Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s opening EURO 2020 clash against Finland on June 12.
He was given urgent CPR on the pitch and Denmark’s doctors saved his life before taking him to the hospital where, a few days later, he had a heart defibrillator implanted.
The 29-year-old won’t be allowed to play in Serie A again unless the device is removed. He will undergo further medical examinations in the coming weeks.
Inter signed Hakan Calhanoglu as a free agent to temporarily replace Eriksen, waiting for further developments about the fitness of former Tottenham star.
