Christian Maggio’s agent insists his client won’t leave Napoli in January, despite struggling for space.

The right-back has made just three Serie A starts under Maurizio Sarri so far this season, but his representative is keen to play down talk of a departure.

“There’s nothing new,” Massimo Briaschi told Calciomercato.

“The words of President [Aurelio] De Laurentiis still stand, and he said no-one will move in January. At the moment it’s premature to talk about that possibility.

“He [Maggio] wants to recover the starting spot he’s lost, when he’s called on he always responds in the right way.
