“There were some who said Christian was a second tier player, he’s giving good answers on the pitch,” Massimo Briaschi said on Radio Crc.
“He’s very happy with how the year is going, so let’s just say it could be a good one. Logically, he’s also very happy with [Coach Maurizio] Sarri’s words from the other week when he complimented him.
“It was something which had never happened before that, let’s hope it continues in this way.
“As for his contract, I speak with [sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli regularly, but I think it’s too early to talk about next season.
“We’ll see how the season goes, and we’ll return to it at the end of the season to assess things. He’ll keep playing, and he could do it with Napoli too.”
