As a result, fans were disappointed when Coach Maurizio Sarri didn’t sub the veteran on for one last appearance.
However, Carlo Ancelotti has since replaced Sarri on the bench and Maggio could yet renew his contract.

“We’re evaluating his future calmly,” Massimo Briaschi told Tuttomercatoweb.
“We’ll evaluate the offers and it’s absolutely not certain that we won’t renew with Napoli.”
