Napoli midfielder Jorginho will renew his contract “before December 31” according to his agent.
The Partenopei man was sent-off during yesterday’s win over Atalanta, and his agent discussed the game as well as the prospect of extending his stay at San Paolo.
“Sendings-off are part of football,” Joao Santos shrugged, speaking to Radio Crc.

“The ball was there to be won and he caught the opponent instead of the ball. The pitch yesterday didn’t help, it was difficult to control the ball and the incident came out of that.
“The ball bounced badly and my client had to make a last-ditch attempt to get it. He’s back in Brazil now for the holidays.
“Yesterday I went with him and, ironically, [Atalanta defender Gabriel] Paletta was on our plane, and he was sent off too! The plane of the punished!
“Jorginho wanted to take the ball, of course, he wouldn’t go in hard on an opponent.
“The renewal? It’ll arrive before the New Year, before December 31.”
