Manolo Gabbadini’s agent admits “big regret” over his Napoli career, but the striker won’t be leaving Southampton along with Mark Hughes.
The Saints sacked their manager earlier today, with Paulo Sousa touted as a possible replacement for the Welshman.
“Even if the Coach has changed, his future should be in the Premier League,” Gabbadini’s agent, Silvio Pagliari, said on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“Napoli? That’s a big regret, especially now that Ancelotti is the Coach. Carlo is a great Coach, as was [Maurizio] Sarri, but he had another idea of how to manage a group.
“Manolo would certainly have played more with Ancelotti. Of course we can’t look at the past, now the aim is to get back into the national team as soon as possible.”
