Stories emerged this afternoon that Rafa Benitez would be interested in reuniting with his former Liverpool midfielder.
But the player’s representative has insisted that is not the case.
“I want to deny rumours that there has been any contact with Napoli,” Inaki Ibanez told EuropaCalcio.
“They have never been in contact with us. I can assure you that Xabi will remain with Real Madrid.”
