Marcos Alonso’s father and agent would like him to play for Barcelona, but reveals there’s a Fiorentina renewal on the table.
The left-back has been linked with a move to the Catalan giants, with his father having played over 100 games for the club.
“It’s not for me to tell my son what to do,” Marcos Alonso Peña, also his son’s agent, told Sport.
“He’s a player, and his future is completely down to him. At the moment we’ve only heard of Barcelona interest in the newspapers.

“Because of my past I’d like to see him in an Azulgrana shirt, but no-one has called or got in touch with us in an official way.
“My son is very happy in Florence, the team are doing great in all competitions and he is having a fantastic season.
“There’s an offer on the table to renew for another five seasons, but we’re still lacking an agreement.”
