The Brazilian full-back plays second-fiddle to Jordi Alba at Camp Nou, and has been linked with a switch away from the Blaugrana in the summer.

The Catalan outfit are thought to be willing to accept €10m for Adriano, and his agent has conceded that the Selecao international would be open to a switch to Serie A.

“With Barca we signed a new contract a year ago, and that will be extended if we achieve certain results under [new Coach] Luis Enrique,” Pailo Affonso told FcInterNews.

“Nobody at Inter has spoken to me, but I have a good relationship with the leaders at big Italian teams.

“It must be said that Adriano would like to play in Serie A – that’s one of his targets. But at the moment it will be difficult.”
