Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis will reportedly meet Maurizio Sarri a second time after an ‘optimistic’ first round on Wednesday.

According to Sky Sport Italia, there will be more developments ‘in the coming days’, although the first signs are that the pair will prolong their relationship for another season.

The broadcaster notes a second round of talks could take place in Rome on Thursday, where ‘more attention to contractual aspects’ will be given.

That would centre on an improvement in Sarri’s salary, with Sky reporting the Coach stands to earn €3.8m a year plus bonuses and his release clause revoked.

If no agreement can be found, the Partenopei are understood to already have a deal in place with former Milan and Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti.
