Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis published an official statement denying that Coach Maurizio Sarri could be sacked.

There had been some speculation within the Italian media that losing second place in the championship to Roma could result in a sacking for the 57-year-old tactician.

“Aurelio De Laurentiis categorically denies the reports by Teletext suggesting that Maurizio Sarri could be replaced with another Coach should he not attain second place,” reads the statement.
