Aurelio De Laurentiis reiterates Napoli will make a big signing in the summer but “I don’t know” if it’ll be Edinson Cavani.

The President made it clear yesterday that he intends to bring a big name for next season, and has made it clear the Uruguayan can return if he lowers his Paris Saint-Germain salary.

“I can reveal that I’ll make a big signing in June,” De Laurentiis told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Cavani? I don’t know if he’ll lower his salary. I greeted him in Paris and hugged him, but I don’t know what he wants to do. I don’t know if someone is making his life hard in Paris.

“For him Naples could be a safe haven. Maybe with €6-7m he could give up a little.

“Sandro Tonali? I don’t know him, so I can’t express an opinion. Jean-Clair Todibo [of Toulouse] could be an option for June, considering he’s 19.”

De Laurentiis was also asked about last season, when the Partenopei reached 91 points but still lost the Scudetto to Juventus.

“I could have a lot to say about last season, I could bring a multi-million Euro lawsuit but I haven’t done that. I don’t want to have bad thoughts, I always look forward and not to the past.

“Sooner or later we have to beat Juventus.”
