Federico Pastorello, the agent of Lazio exile Francesco Acerbi, has arrived at Inter’s headquarters this evening in a bid to push along a transfer.

The 35-year-old Italian centre back handed in a transfer request at the end of last season after suffering a complete relationship breakdown with the fans. Acerbi has reportedly turned down approaches from both Monza and Torino in a bid to be reunited with Simone Inzaghi in Lombardy, and his patience may finally be rewarded.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Pastorello arrived at Inter’s headquarters this evening to continue the negotiations, keen to get Acerbi’s transfer from Lazio across the line. The player would be a low-cost option and may be the right reinforcement at this stage for the Nerazzurri.

Acerbi would join Inter on a loan deal with a buy option attached, and the Milanese club would be paying the entirety of his €1.8m net per season wages.

There are still some issues Acerbi needs to resolve with Lazio, namely the club’s request for him to waive his July and August wages.
