But the chief of the Football Federation has claimed that everyone at the organisation wants the former Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”8″>Fiorentina man to continue his work.

“Prandelli? Let’s hope he stays,” Abete told Sky Sport Italia. “Our position is very clear – after the Spain match, we’ll evaluate whether the continues still exist to carry on.

“We are pleased with Cesare’s work, and not just from a results point of view. I hope he stays, but we have to be respectful of his decision.”

Conversation then moved on Domenico Berardi and Daniele De Rossi’s exclusion from this week’s Azzurri squad for breaking a code of ethics.

“Prandelli applies this in a non-political way. He just wants players to know that they are accountable for their actions.

“It is an independent assessment from the Coach.”
