New Inter owner Erick Thohir has spoken for the first time as the club’s new President. “It’s a special day.”
Thohir has officially replaced Massimo Moratti as the Beneamata chief after his International Sports Capital bought 70 per cent of the oilman’s share of the club.
“I really want to thank my friend and new partner Massimo Moratti for the trust and support, and thank also my partners Rosan Roeslani and Handy Soetedjo, who I’ve known for more than 20 years.

Massimo Moratti has been named as the honorary chairman of the San Siro outfit.
The new board of directors will now consist of Erick Thohir, Rosan Roeslani, Handy Soetedjo, Thomas Shreve, Hioe Isenta, Angelomario Moratti [son of Massimo], Rinaldo Ghelfi and Alberto Manzonetto.
