Cagliari have taken action against two fans who mocked Torino for the Superga tragedy by banning them from the stadium.
The pair were caught on camera in the stands making ‘airplane’ gestures towards the travelling Toro fans during the Serie A match on Sunday October 20.
Following the inspection of the video footage, and with support from the authorities, the Rossoblu were able to identify the two fans and ban them from the Unipol Domus for the rest of the 2024-25 campaign.

The rules allowing clubs to remove fans from their stadiums are a little different in Italy and make it difficult to enact on the spot punishments.
They need to be identified using video evidence, which can make it tricky to confirm racist chants beyond doubt.
A mime of an airplane, however, is easier to clarify and the club released a statement confirming these two fans breached the code of behaviour listed in ticket sales.
The entire Scudetto-winning Torino squad was wiped out in 1949 when their plane crashed in the Superga hills above the city of Turin.
