David De Gea wasn’t only the Man of The Match in Fiorentina‘s win over Milan on Sunday, but was also the best player of the weekend in Serie A, according to player ratings from Italian sports papers.

De Gea saved two penalty kicks at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday, massively contributing to Fiorentina’s 2-1 win over Milan.

The Spaniard’s average player rating from Italian sports papers was 9/10, as reported by Fantacalcio.it.

Not even hat-trick scorers Mateo Retegui (8.5) and Marcus Thuram (8) could match De Gea’s performance against Milan.

Mike Maignan also saved a penalty kick in Florence last night and was the only Milan player with a rating of at least 7/10.

Many Atalanta players received high ratings after a dominant 5-1 win over strugglers Genoa. Central midfielder Ederson and Marten de Roon scored a goal each and were among the standout performers.

Table leaders Napoli have four players among this week’s top performers: Stanislav Lobotka, Scott McTominay, David Neres and Romelu Lukaku. Check out Serie A’s best players from Week 7 below.
