During a pre-match press conference on Monday, Paulo Fonseca promised he’d bring pastel de nata, a traditional Portuguese dessert, to journalists if the Rossoneri beat Liverpool and Inter.

Milan are preparing for crucial games against Liverpool in the Champions League and Inter in Serie A this week.

The first one is against the Reds at San Siro on Tuesday, while the first derby della Madonnina of the campaign is scheduled for September 22.

When asked if he’d rotate against the Reds tomorrow, Fonseca smiled and replied: “The same players can play, but I can also consider the possibility of change.

“We have three games this week and we must think about all matches. Tomorrow is the most important because it’s the next, but I can’t forget that we’ll play a derby in the next Serie A match.”

After that, he made a promise to reporters attending the press conference: “If we win both games, I promise I’ll bring you pastel de nata at a press conference,” he said, smiling again.

Fonseca is expected to start Alvaro Morata against Liverpool tomorrow.
