TMW reports that Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Raoul Bellanova were tested in an Italy training session this morning ahead of a Nations League fixture against Israel.

Napoli defender Di Lorenzo and new Atalanta signing Bellanova are expected to start for Italy against Israel this evening.

Spalletti tested both players in the starting XI in a training session in Budapest on Monday morning.

According to TMW, Di Lorenzo will join Alessandro Bastoni and Alessandro Buongiorno in a three-man defence, while Bellanova will replace Juventus‘ full-back Cambiaso on the right flank.

Riccardo Calafiori and Lorenzo Pellegrini are unavailable due to injuries.

This morning’s tests seemingly confirmed that Destiny Udogie would start on the left flank while Giacomo Raspadori would partner Moise Kean in the Azzurri attack against Israel.

Sandro Tonali, Samuele Ricci and Davide Frattesi will be confirmed in central midfield and the same goes for Gigio Donnarumma in goal.

Latest probable Italy XI vs. Israel (3-5-2): Donnarumma; Di Lorenzo, Buongiorno, Bastoni; Bellanova, Frattesi, Ricci, Tonali, Udogie; Raspadori, Kean.

  2. Agreed…Di Lorenzo is no good. He got absolutely torched in the Euros and responsible for France’s goal. Can they not find a suitable replacement for him?
