After months of negotiations, Milan have finally reached a total agreement with Tottenham for full back Emerson Royal.
The Rossoneri have long been interested in the 25-year-old Brazilian right back and agreed personal terms weeks ago, setting up a five-year contract worth around €3m net per season plus performance-related add-ons.
Tottenham originally set a €20m price tag on Emerson Royal and Milan’s first offer of €12m plus add-ons made it clear that negotiations were needed to close the gap. After weeks of constant contact, the two parties have now found common ground and moved forward.
Emerson Royal to Milan
Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio detail how Milan and Tottenham have reached a total agreement for the transfer of Emerson Royal and are now working on finalising the remaining details of the deal.
The Rossoneri will pay around €15m plus €2m in add-ons for the 25-year-old and his flights and medicals are now being booked. He is expected to fully complete his move within the next 48-72 hours.
