Paulo Dybala has a €13m release clause in his Roma contract and Chelsea are reportedly thinking about making a mid-season move for the star forward.

The 30-year-old Argentinian has been an important figure for the Giallorossi since his arrival on a free transfer back in the summer of 2022, scoring 24 goals and providing 14 assists in 56 total appearances, including netting the opener in the Europa League final last term.

Dybala has just 18 months left on his contract with Roma and the club are keen to offer him a new deal, but the player holds all the cards due to the inclusion of a €13m release clause, valid for foreign clubs, in his contract in the capital.

As reported by TMW, Chelsea are interested in making a move for Dybala this month, believing he’d be a strong fit for Mauricio Pochettino’s struggling giants.

Talks between intermediaries and the Premier League side have been ongoing for a little while now, but his recent flexor injury could postpone a possible move.

This campaign, Dybala has scored six goals and provided six assists in 18 appearances across all competitions for Roma.
